Betty (Maw Maw) fixed this every Christmas. Once tasted it was quickly adopted into a lot of families’ repertoire of traditional dishes. One of Brittany’s favorites!

2 small packages strawberry JELL-O
1 cup boiling water
2 10 oz. packages frozen sliced strawberries
1 1 lb. 4 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
3 medium bananas, mashed
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 pint sour cream
Combine gelatin with water until dissolved. Fold in strawberries with pineapple. Add the bananas and nuts.
Turn half the mixture into a 9×13 inch dish. Refrigerate until firm. Spread the sour cream gently into an even layer on top of the chilled JELL-O mixture. Then add the other half of the JELL-O mixture on top. Refrigerate. Cut into squares to serve.
