This recipe is simplicity itself and it is such a wonderful memory for the grandkids that it is included here. Pa made this when we came to visit and Victoria loved it and coined the term “fluffy juice.”

Pa bought the Winnebago he is driving here in the early 70’s from his New Orleans’ friend Pat Patrick and the Bennett family went on to take many trips and vacations in it. He called it the Wobble Wagon and his CB handle was Slow Poke (because he was when he drove it!). He liked to take naps in it on rainy days because of the sound the rain made on the roof. His neighbors gave him “Meritorious Award” plaque for being the “Hero of the Blizzard of 1993” because with the generator in the Winnebago (and the little kitchen) he cooked hot meals for several of the neighbors. Our house had power when no one else had any for several days, so he birdsat for a couple of the exotic birds the neighbors had. And one summer, the thing broke down in Florida on our way to a beach vacation and we ate in it, slept in it, and played on a nearby beach while he practically rebuilt the engine on the side of the road.

1 can of frozen orange juice concentrate

Ice

Run hot water over frozen juice can for 1 minute. Pour contents into a blender.

Fill empty can with ice and then add water to fill. Combine with concentrate and blend. Repeat two more times.

When blender is full pour off some of the juice in a pitcher and continue blending the rest of the ice/water mixture.

Pour the frosty juice in a glass and serve.
